Kesepakatan ini membawa dampak pada banyak sektor tanpa terkecuali sektor pendidikan  yang terlibat secara langsung dalam mempersiapkan generasi muda untuk mampu menjadi  sumber daya manusia yang kompetitif. Berkenaan dengan itu\, Seminar Nasional Pendidikan yang ke-2 yang diselenggarakan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan mengambil tema “Pendidikan dan Kewirausahaan dalam menghadapi MEA”  untuk berperan serta dalam  mengembangkan jiwa kewirausahaan di dunia pendidikan sehingga  mampu merespon persaingan pasar bebas di kawasan Asia Tenggara. \n

SUMMARY:A Seminar on World-Class Primary School Mathematics
DESCRIPTION:WORLD-CLASS MATHEMATICS\nA 21st Century Learning Approach \n“Singapore Mathematics” is globally acknowledged as one of the most effective method of teaching mathematics in schools\, simply because Singapore students have consistently performed extremely well in International Assessments such as TIMSS and PISA. \nOne key factor is the way mathematics are being taught in the classroom. In this seminar held by the English Department\, Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya\, Dr. Yeap will share with teachers the effective methodology framework and examples of application of this methodology in class. Dr. Yeap will share insights on how the CPA Approach\, Bar Modeling\, etc. are effective approaches to develop effective problem-solving skills among primary school children. \n Speaker: Dr. Yeap Ban Har \nAs an experienced educator\, Dr. Yeap Ban Har spent ten years at the National Institute of Education\, Singapore\, where he was involved in several funded research programs in mathematics education\, and Mathematics and Curriculum Studies in Primary and Secondary Maths.
